Memblaze will introduce new Pblaze5 X26 ultra-low latency NVMe SSD at Flash Memory Summit. Besides, Memblaze will show the latency features of Pblaze5 X26 and describe its principle. It will offer quick and stable performance across enterprise.
On the 1st of this month, Memblaze announced that it will debut its new ultra-low latency NVMe SSD storage solution based on Toshiba’s XL -FLASH technology and its Enhanced Namespace Management technology at Flash Memory Summit, which will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California from August 6th to August 8th.
Taile Zhang, Memblaze’s senior vice president of products, says: “Based on Memblaze’s core flash memory technology, PBlaze5 X26 brings advantages of XL-FLASH’s ultra-low latency, high QoS and provides fast, stable performance across the enterprise. Compared to 3D XPoint and other SCM media, XL-FLASH has an obvious price advantage that offers the PBlaze5 X26 series a boost for market acceptance and wide adoption across the industry.”
Ron Yuan, vice president of research and development at Memblaze, will showcase part of the Flash Memory Summit’s NVMe Track during the PCIe / NVMe technology update – Extending the use of Namespace: managing multi-media to improve app performance. Yuan will explain at the conference how to use Namespace to provide users with more performance and demonstrate simple changes to control NAND and DRAM resolution performance and durability issues caused by MySQL double write buffers. The meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and end at 10:50 a.m.
Introduction of Memblaze’s PBlaze5 X26 Ultra-low Latency NVMe SSD
By working with Toshiba, Memblaze leverages Toshiba’s new XL-FLASH technology, a new ultra-low latency flash media with read latency up to one-tenth of the average 3D TLC NAND to meet today’s technology trend.
According to Memblaze, the PBlaze5 X26 800 is capable of consistently keeping ultra-low latency over a period of hours. In addition, the driver will have a 4K random write latency of less than 10μs and a 4K mixed read and write latency, averaging as low as 26μs, which is expected to eventually. The incubation period of the product will be reduced to below 20μs.
Enhanced Namespace Management Technology
Memblaze will also showcase another feature at the Flash Memory Summit – a new enhanced namespace management technology. This feature is unique in that it can divide DRAM, NAND, and other media into different resource pools to prove application services through the MySQL database namespace.
With Memblaze’s enhanced namespace management technology, MySQL is able to maintain a TPMC score of 32,000 in a two-hour TPCC test with no jitter. The company says the technology allows MySQL to keep its scheduling mechanism intact for efficient access to existing data centers.
Availability and Pricing
Memblaze is currently sampling the PBlaze5 X26, and samples have begun to be available. The complete product offering will be fully available in 2020. Prices for the PBlaze5 X26 are subject to availability.
