Fix 1: Check If the Required Services Are Running
First, you should check if the required services are running including the Server service and the Security Accounts Manager service. If they are not running, the “Sharing tab missing in folder Properties” issue may appear. Here is how to check them:
Step 1: Type services in the Search box and click Open.
Step 2: In the list, find the Security Accounts Manager service and the Server service. Check if the status is running. If not, right-click it to choose Start.
Fix 2: Check If the Sharing Wizard Is Used
Then, you need to check if the Sharing Wizard is used to fix the “Sharing tab is missing” issue. Here is how to do that:
Step 1: Type File Explorer options in the Search box and click Open.
Step 2: Go to the View tab. Under the Advanced settings part, find the Use Sharing Wizard (Recommended) box. Make sure it has been checked.

If a user account isn’t a member of the local groups, Users, Administrators, or Power Users, the Sharing tab won’t appear. Thus, you need to add the missing group memberships.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
Step 3: Find the forceguset value and double-click it to change the value data to 0.
