Windows 10 new preview bug fixes have been a hot topic recently, as Microsoft released a Windows 10 new preview for PCs with 16 bug fixes.

From the RedStone 5 branch, this build represents that the company plans to release it later this year (likely in October 2018).

This time, Microsoft did not bring any functional updates. Instead, it focused on only a lot of bug fixes and made some improvements on stability.

One of the reasons may be that RedStone 5 has entered the release phase, so this is the final spurt before releasing it. On this account it is reasonable to say that they will mainly concentrate on bug fixing.

Windows 10 receives new features on a regular basis. So far, Microsoft has released five major updates: November Update, Anniversary Update, Creators Update, Fall Creators Update, and April 2018 Update.

Assuming this time is “Windows 10 October 2018 Update”, as there are some rumors said, Windows Insiders will likely see RS5 finalized in September, and the public will get it in a month. As Microsoft has stopped adding new features and is now solely focused on stability, this timeline is reasonable.
