What Is Windows 11 LTSC?
The full name of LTSC is Long-Term Servicing Channel.
Starting in September 2023, Windows Server offers two main release channels: the Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) and the Annual Channel (AC). The LTSC option emphasizes a longer-term approach, focusing on delivering traditional quality and security updates over time. While, the AC option offers more frequent releases, allowing users to swiftly leverage innovation, particularly in the realm of containers and microservices.
In the Long-Term Servicing Channel, Windows Server typically unveils a fresh major version approximately every 2-3 years. Users benefit from five years of mainstream support followed by five years of extended support. This channel offers a durable servicing solution, ensuring system longevity and consistency. It’s compatible with both Server Core and Server with Desktop Experience installation options.

Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 Preview ISO Leaked
Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC was first announced by Microsoft in 2023. But the company hasn’t confirmed its release date. According to some rumors, it is supposed to be released in the second half of 2024. So, you can call it Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024.
On February 2 this year, a Chinese forum leaked the Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 preview build.
After you open the page, you can see it is Build 25941. It also offers a download source for Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 ISO 64-bit. Actually, this build has been released to Insiders in the Canary Channel on August 31, 2023. So, this leaked edition is based on a much older version.
Since it is not an official release, you’d better not download the Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 ISO and install it on your main computer. If interested, you can join the Canary Channel and install the latest version on your PC. Builds in the Canary Channel are official sources from Microsoft. However, preview builds are not stable and they might bring issues to your PC. So, you’d better test it on a non-important computer.
Possible Changes in Windows 11 LTSC
Given the early date of the leaked version, the content in this version may have changed later. But let’s take a look at some content first:
- Microsoft is currently developing a Windows 11 IoT Enterprise Subscription tailored for business clientele.
- This version comes equipped with the new Outlook, built on the web variant of Outlook.com, which comes pre-installed, replacing Mail & Calendar.
Windows 11 LTSC Release Date
